Abu Dhabi: The Dubai Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi will hold the flag hoisting ceremony on this year’s Indian Republic Day on Thursday at Abu Dhabi Indian School.

The ceremony used to be held at the embassy premises but this year it will be at Abu Dhabi Indian School, a spokesman of the embassy told Gulf News Wednesday.

The flag will be hoisted by the Consul General and he will read out the Indian Presidents message, followed by march past and performance by students

The school conducts a ceremony every year which is attended by the Indian Ambassador, so both the events will be clubbed this year, he said.

M.K Lokesh, Indian Ambassador, will hoist the national flag at 8:30 am, followed by the cultural programmes of the school pupils.
